Tensile strength

The tensile strength is a material property: the maximum mechanical tension that a material endures before it breaks/ tears. For labels it means withstanding the pulling force that must be expended parallel to the label plane until it leads to its fracture under specified conditions (e.g.: handles tear when weight is applied)
